Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

UPN premiered its new season last night with the season premiere of ENTERPRISE followed by the series premiere of THE TWILIGHT ZONE. MediaWeek's Marc Berman, writer of the daily Program Insider, reports that while UPN finished impressively in the fourth place spot for the night, the second season debut of ENTERPRISE was "disappointing."
"Shockwave, Part II" garnered a 4.9/8 in the metered overnight numbers according to both MediaWeek and Zap2it, matching the overnight numbers for "Shockwave, Part I" in May. UPN averaged 4.8/7 on the night overall, bringing it well ahead of sister Big Three network CBS, which only drew in a 4.6/7 average on the night. The ENTERPRISE number compares to a last season overnight of 9.1/13 for series premiere "Broken Bow" and a 6.9/10 average for the following three episodes. The Futon Critic also notes that the "Shockwave, Part II" performance represents a 46% decline from last season's premiere and an 18% drop from VOYAGER's seventh season opener in 2000. MediaWeek's Berman calls the series's performance disappointing and says the premiere of THE TWILIGHT ZONE was more impressive.
ZONE debuted at what Berman terms a "healthy" 4.6/7, only six percent below the ENT lead-in and 18 percent higher than last year's series premiere of SPECIAL UNIT 2 in the same timeslot. Berman notes also that ENTERPRISE, ZONE and Fox's impressively debuted FASTLANE incurred significant fall-off in their second half-hours.
NBC took the top spot, followed by Fox and ABC. Final ratings will be out next week, along with demographic performance numbers.
