Don't miss a scene! Pre-order the STAR TREK NEMESIS novelization to support TrekWeb! (0 comments | Add)
Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

Actress Dina Meyer spoke to Prevue Magazine recently about her new WB series BIRDS OF PREY and her supporting role in the tenth TREK picture, NEMESIS.
"She’s a Romulan, and Romulans are the cousins to the Vulcans," Meyer says of her character 'Commander Donatra'. "The Vulcans, I think, are more of a mild-mannered, mellow people. The Romulans are a little more aggressive. She’s the commander of a warbird."
The actress says the NEMESIS production schedule was light, requiring only one week of four hour days. "They shot all the Next Generation stuff first and then they shot the Romulan stuff at the end of the production," she said.
She says most of her scenes take place on the viewscreen but she did get to interact with Tom Hardy ('Shinzon') and Ron Pearlman ('Viceroy'). Despite the brevity of her role, she says the opportunity was wonderful.
"It’s another strong, smart role that I got to play. For me, it’s just very flattering to be chosen for the part. I get to be a part of Star Trek, a series that’s been on the air longer than I’ve been alive!"

Meanwhile, NEMESIS star Patrick Stewart spoke to the Los Angeles Daily News (via The Orlando Sentinel) recently about the film and rumors that it may be the TNG crew's final bow.
"I'm not quite sure what they mean by that," Stewart said of the marketing campaign for the film using the moniker 'a generation's final journey begins'. "I think that took all of us by surprise; as far as I was concerned, we were doing another movie -- and not what is described as the final one. But if this were to be the final Next Generation movie, it would be, in most respects, an ideal way to close this particular story line and group of characters. If, on the other hand, there was interest in more, it does offer a wonderful opportunity for a quite startling sequel."
The actor says the NEMESIS storyline does justice to the NEXT GENERATION crew.
"It's certainly a dramatic and intense story, and I feel that this is the film's great strength. It works dramatically as a film but also as a stage in the development of the Trek family, especially The Next Generation."
Check out the full interview, in which Stewart also mentions director Stuart Baird here.
