Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

The official STAR TREK web site reports that production wrapped Friday on the eigth episode of the season, "The Communicator." Hinted at by Scott Bakula in his recent TrekWeb interview, the episode involves the ENTERPRISE crew accidentially leaving a piece of technology on an alien planet and having to retrieve it.
According to the new production report, the episode borrows the premise from the original series episode "A Piece of the Action," when Dr. McCoy left his communicator on the gangster planet, upsetting the "percentage," as Kirk referred to it. In "The Communicator," Lt. Reed loses his communicator while conducting undercover research on a pre-warp society on the brink of war. Archer and Reed must return to get the technology but "things do not go well."
Bakula and Dominic Keating had to don alien forehead makeup to blend in with the locals. The episode is the first of the new season to be written by former science consultant Andre Bormanis, who penned last season's "Silent Enemy." Directed by James Contner, the ep guest stars Francise Guinan and Dennis Cockrum (VOYAGER's "Live Fast and Prosper") and Tim Kelleher ("Survival Instinct"). The ep is schedule to air November 6th.
