Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

Actor Patrick Stewart offers some more brief comments in the latest Star Trek Monthly (October, #97, via Sci-Fi Pulse) out in the UK. He says despite the fact that the script for STAR TREK NEMESIS appearned on the Internet months ago, fans should still be surprised by the movie.
"I don't think they are going to be disapointed, I know there have been all kinds of rumours about different cast members being killed off," he cautions, "And I know the script has appeared on the Internet and so forth - but it's no fun if you know. I've never been able to understand why people are so anxious to know what happens in a movie. I would hate that!"
He also deflects criticism that the script is heavily reminiscient of STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN, saying, "I actually don't see a parity at all. I think what we have with NEMESIS is really quite distinct."
Speaking about the seminal television series that started it all, the actor says, "NEXT GENERATION was absolutely pivotal. Without the success of NEXT GENERATION, there would be no VOYAGER, no DEEP SPACE NINE, no ENTERPRISE and of course no four movies."
Asked about how his character, 'Jean-Luc Picard', has changed over the fifteen years since first appearing on screen the actor says some things are different but the essence of the man is unchanged.
"The most significant thing was we relaxed him as a character," he reflects. "But the man who appeared in 'Encounter At Farpoint' is still essentially the same Jean-Luc Picard who is fighting the Romulans and Remans in this latest movie."
