Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

The Michael Piller-produced hit genre cable series THE DEAD ZONE set historic records in its first season, becoming the highest rated original drama series in cable history. The season finale -- "Destiny" -- was watched by 4.3 million people and the series averaged 4.2 million viewers each week. Piller assembled a creative team consisting of several former STAR TREK writers for its first year and the new season will continue that successful formula. Source(s) close to the production have informed TrekWeb that former STAR TREK writer/producer Ronald D. Moore has finalized a deal to join the staff as an executive consultant.
Moore's new position in THE DEAD ZONE means he will contribute creatively to the series and write scripts. He becomes the latest in a string of former STAR TREK personnel to rejoin TNG head writer Piller under the banner of his new Piller^2 production company. Moore's addition brings THE DEAD ZONE creative team even closer to mirroring the staff of TNG's middle seasons.
Joe Menosky, also from TNG and DS9, served as an executive consultant on THE DEAD ZONE's inaugural season and has returned for the second season of the USA Network series. Meanwhile, former DS9 and VOY writer Michael Taylor joined the series at the outset last season as co-producer and has been promoted for the new season to producer.
Production began today in Vancouver, British Columbia on the show's second season with an episode called "Precipitate." The episode is being directed by Jefery Levy. The season premiere is titled "Valley of the Shadow" and will go before the cameras next week. That installment is penned by Michael Taylor and will pick up the story of Johnny's (Anthony Michael Hall) first encounter with the politician Greg Stillson (Sean Patrick Flannery), originally introduced in the Stephen King novel.
