Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

Speaking in a new interview about her background and experiences auditioning for ENTERPRISE, actress Linda Park ('Ensign Hoshi Sato') tells StarTrek.com it wasn't as long a road from Chili's to a successful acting career after all.
"People always say, 'You've just been out here for a year and you got this so fast'," she recalls of her young career in Hollywood. "I did, in fact, work at Chili's. One summer I was home from college after my freshman year. I actually had to convince my mother to let me work, because she thought that I should just focus on school and focus on what it was I wanted to do."
Park recalls summonng her acting school skills in the series pilot. "They had a scene with the Klingons from the pilot, and the casting director was saying, 'Okay, this is really guttural, so don't be afraid to go there.' Going to acting school for four years, you go through your whole register — you know, you learn to talk from your gut up to your sinuses. So my vocal range is pretty wide." People always ask, 'Was that altered with sound effects?' and it's like, 'Nope, that's just me!'"
Despite the awkwardness of suddenly being treated like a celebrity, the actress says the subtlety of her role in STAR TREK will stay with her a long time: "It's a lot to take on, but it's been a huge blessing. This is something that I'll be able to tell my grandchildren — you know, that their grandma's part of the Star Trek legacy. It's a very huge thing to say."
Check out much more from Park in the full interview.
