Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

Speaking with Sci-Fi Wire Patrick Stewart says next year's highly-anticipated sequel to the X-MEN, currently in production, is a much more substantial film than its successful predecessor, which the actor calls "an extended trailer" for X2.
"We were introducing people to who the X-Men were, to what their world was like, who their enemies were and what their conflicts were going to be like," Stewart told the online mag. "X-Men 2 is really extending those themes and notions that were just sketched in in the first film, and we're extending them much more deeply."
Stewart goes on to discuss the on-going conflict between his character, 'Professor Charles Xavier', and Sir Ian McKellan's 'Magneto'.
"There's my continuing conflict with Magneto and with a new enemy, a very, very dangerous individual '[General Stryker'] played by Brian Cox. Xavier is attempting to hold the X-Men together and trying to change humankind's perception of what mutants are, which finally climaxes in the movie with a very strong scene in the Oval Office between Professor Xavier and the president of the United States [played by Cotter Smith]."
The film is directed by Bryan Singer, who has a small cameo appearance in STAR TREK NEMESIS, and is currently slated to open May 2nd, 2003. Visit the original interview here.
