Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

The Associated Press reports today that a naming ceremony for the El Paso Independent School District's planetarium took place yesterday in the hometown of STAR TREK creator Gene Roddenberry. The 33-year old planetarium was named in his honor Friday as the "Gene Roddenberry Planetarium" and TREK celebs took part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony and dinner to honor the franchise's late father.
TNG, DS9 and NEMESIS star Michael Dorn was on hand and said, "It's particularly meaningful because Gene hired us." Roddenberry's son, Eugene Roddenberry, Jr., also took part, telling the El Paso Time today that the site of his father's birth is now "a flower shop. I wondered what it was like before. I kept looking around, wondering, did he play in the back yard?"
Other dignitaries included Apollo XII astronaut Richard Gordon. Learn more at the original story or visit the El Paso Independent School District for more information.
