Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

Dept: Star Trek: Nemesis
Star Trek.com just posted an additional report on the recent Creation Entertainment convention celebrating the 15 anniversary of STAR TREK : THE NEXT GENERATION. The report includes comments from writer John Logan (in his first convention appearance) about the making of STAR TREK NEMESIS.
Logan told the audience that NEMESIS is "a movie for you" and that he was "terrified" during his first meeting with TREK producer Rick Berman because he thought his pitch might not appeal to Berman.
"He said, 'That's exactly right, let's shake it up, let's have some fun, let's do some radical things, and let's really explore this.' So, the process began," Logan told the crowd.
"The idea was to bring in some fresh blood - me, [director] Stuart Baird, people who didn't necessarily have preconceived notions about Star Trek. I, of course, have nothing but preconceived notions, and Stuart, thankfully, knew nothing, so it was a great combination...Rick is there as lord and master, I'm there as the ultimate weenie fan, and Stuart Baird's saying, 'What's with the ears?'"
About writing a Romulan episode for ENTERPRISE, Logan said, "They've talked to me a lot about whether I want to write one, and I said, 'Yeah, you betcha, as soon as my schedule allows it. Now, I know, from 'Balance of Terror', there are some problems with having Romulans in the Archer world, but I think we can solve that. So I'm hoping I will [write an episode], because I love the show."
The full report on the convention, including comments from TNG stars Brent Spiner, Marina Sirtis and Michael Dorn, can be found here at Star Trek.com.
