Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home.

Former TNG and DS9 writer/producer Rene Echverria has vacated his position as the showrunner on the struggling ABC medical drama MDs after only three episodes have aired. Citing "creative differences," Variety reported that a replacement has not yet been selected.
The show stars John Hannah and William Fichtner as eccentric doctors in a San Franciso hospital and has averaged only 7.1 million viewers for its three episodes. Echevarria, who contributed over 30 episodes during his tenor as story editor, executive story editor and finally co-supervising producer with STAR TREK, began his career in New York theater and came onboard TNG with the spec script for "The Offspring" in 1989. Other episodes include "The Mind's Eye," "Lower Decks," "Inheritance," "I, Borg," "Rejoined," "Explorers," "Nor The Battle To The Strong," "Trials and Tribble-ations," "Honor Among Thieves," "Behind The Lines," "Dogs of War," and "Penumbra." Echevarria also co-developed the story for the STAR TREK EXPERIENCE attraction in Las Vegas with fellow TREK writer Ken Biller. Since DS9's finale in 1999, Echevarria has written for both NOW AND AGAIN and the short-lived DARK ANGEL. Check out the original report here.
