Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

Visual effects house Foundation Imaging has been a mainstay of television STAR TREK for years, contributing the stunning visual effects throughout the runs of both DEEP SPACE NINE and VOYAGER. Last season, the company shared effects duties with two-year old upstart Eden FX for the inaugural season of ENTERPRISE.
Eden FX announced recently that it has won the sole contract to provide computer graphic for ENTERPRISE's second season as well as three shots for December's STAR TREK NEMESIS. The news comes as the shop moves to a new 3,000 square foot Hollywood facility within Sunset-Gower Studios and three former Foundation Imaging artists have joined its ranks. Stephen Pugh, Robert Bonchune, and John Teska have joined Eden FX as VFX producer and Supervising CG artists respectively. Pugh worked for Foundation since 1994 and contributed to VOYAGER, BABYLON 5 and ENTERPRISE. Bonchune worked with Eden FX co-founder John Gross at Amblin Imaging and worked at Foundation since 1996 on projects including VOYAGER and DEEP SPACE NINE; Bonchune is the winner of two previous special effects Emmys. Teska was the "Trek Effects Team Animation Director" for Foundation's VOYAGER work and has won two effects Emmys.

Last season Eden FX contributed shots such as the butterfly women in the pilot episode "Broken Bow," shuttlepod sequences in "Strange New World" and "Terra Nova," comet effects in "Breaking the Ice," Enterprise and shuttlepod scenes in "Oasis," surface and landing shots in "Desert Crossing," as well as the holographic future technology scenes in "Cold Front" and "Shockwave." The company won an Emmy for its work in "Broken Bow."
Eden's work has already shown up in the second season of ENTERPRISE, contributing CG work for the season premiere "Shockwave, Part II" (see above pictures). The company contributed shots of the Enterprise and Suliban cell ships, the Suliban Helix, the warp core breach and even the surface shots of the devastated 31st century and its mysterious library. You find a gallery of Eden's work at their web site and more info about the new contract at Animation Artist.
