Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

The final ratings numbers are in for last week's first-run presentation of "A Night In Sickbay," the fifth episode of the new season. While inspiring a mix of sentiment from reviewers and fans and earning a slightly lower overnight rating than "Dead Stop," the unconventional episode proved salubrious for ENTERPRISE's ailing ratings and takes the spot for the most watched installment of the season.
Scoring a 3.9/6, the episode improves for the third week in a row, beating "Dead Stop" by a hefty four tenths of a percentage point (3.5/6). "Sickbay" is the highest rated episode of ENTERPRISE since January 30's "Sleeping Dogs" also managed a 3.9 earlier in the year.
Viewership skyrocketed for the first time this season, climbing from 5.4 million the previous week to 6.26 million--a whopping increase of 860,000 viewers. This is the largest audience for ENTERPRISE since November 28, 2001's "Cold Front" (7.11 million).
In demographic categories the show also demonstrated impressive gains. The Adults 18-49 rating of 3.1/9 is ENTERPRISE's highest since "Sleeping Dogs" and represents a 24% increase from "Dead Stop," or 745,000 viewers in this category.
You'll recall that "Sickbay" received a lower overnight rating than "Stop" -- 5.1 vs. 5.4 -- but yet the final numbers are significantly higher. Overnight ratings are only based on the top 53 markets in the United States and can be skewed by a preemption or reporting error, although what exactly caused the inconsistency here is unknown.
Alexander Chase's FINAL RATINGS: A Night in Ratings Heaven for ENT's Sickbay. Firefly on the brink.
The Wednesday print edition of USA
Today has published the final ratings for the week of October
14-20. And
what an intriguing picture it makes too! ENTERPRISE's "A Night
in
Sickbay" confirm a ratings turnaround for the newest Trek series as it
soared
to its largest audience in nearly a year with 6.3 million viewers; good
enough for a 3.9/6 rating and share, securing 4th place for the week.
ABC's Alias and The WB's Smallville both managed to increase their
audience from the previous week, again securing the #1 and # 2 slots.
For
Smallville, last week's red kryptonite episode was the most watched
episode
ever for that series with 8.9 million viewers; 100,000 more than the
series
premiere last season.
And the intrigue doesn't end there. For the first time since this
correspondent has been doing these TrekWeb ratings round-ups (a season
and a
half), UPN's Buffy the Vampire Slayer was beaten for the week by its
spin-off, The WB's Angel, in head-to-head competition. The WB's Angel
rebounded from a lethargic 4.2 million viewers the previous week to
break the
5 million barrier for the first time since Conner disappeared into
another
dimension.
With all players finally on stage plus a repeat presentation of
FOX's John
Doe on Tuesday night to boot, UPN's The Twilight Zone and Haunted and
ABC's
cancelled Push, Nevada were finally pushed completely out of the top
10; all
below 4 million viewers. Bringing up the rear was Joss Whedon's
Firefly,
which experienced yet another drop in viewers despite blanket promotion
during the baseball playoffs. Firefly finished with a 2.7/5 for 4.3
million
viewers. Firefly is described by USA Today as a series "on the brink"
of
cancellation, along with UPN's Haunted; both are "likely to be pulled
before
the November sweeps."
