Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses, bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices, check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away from home.

Dept: Star Trek: Nemesis

USA Today made its Holiday movie season "Super Seven" predictions today, naming the seven November-December releases expected to crack the $100 million mark at the domestic box office. The newspaper cites the last two Holiday seasons for its selection of seven, the number of films that did so in those two years.

"Call them the Super Seven. In each of the past two holiday seasons, exactly seven movies released from the start of November through the end of the year broke the magical $100 million mark at the box office," writes Andy Seiler. "That's the widely accepted point at which a hit becomes a blockbuster, when everyone from toddlers to seniors show up — maybe even more than once."

Of the tenth TREK pick the paper says, "Another logical yet dicey proposition: Nemesis. You never know whether a Star Trek movie will appeal only to the hard-core fans or break out to the mass audience."

Scott Bowles goes in-depth on NEMESIS, saying it's best feature is the movie's premise. "Picard squares off against a clone of himself that's got a lot less of the inner-peace thing going. Stewart also claims that this is the most emotionally intense Trek since Generations and advises some ardent fans to 'pick up one of those little pocket tissues to take with you.'"

The other movies on the list are The Santa Clause 2 (opening today), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Nov. 15), Die Another Day (the latest James Bond, Nov. 22), Analyze That (the sequel to Analyze This, Dec. 6), The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (Dec. 18) and Catch Me if You Can (Dec. 25). You can reach more of the NEMESIS profile here and the main article here.
