Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

William Shatner today confirms in a brief interview with Cinescape reports that he is in discussions with Paramount Pictures about tackling a Director's Edition of STAR TREK V: THE FINAL FRONTIER for it's upcoming DVD release.
TrekWeb first broke this story on October 23rd after months of speculation following the successful releases of STAR TREK: TMP and STAR TREK II on director's edition DVD.
“I may be doing a director’s cut,” he told the mag. “We have been talking to them about it, but we don’t have a final response yet.”
Shatner also confirms that he is seeking to update the visual effects for the film, long considered by fans to be subpar.
"Well, yes, that’s part of what I want to do,” he confirms. “But we don’t know if the money’s there yet.”
No further details have been offered about other changes Shatner is considering for the film but there are plenty to go around, including entirely new final act shots with Rock Creatures originally storyboarded for the film and an unrealized opening credits shot. Stay tuned to TrekWeb for more information on the STAR TREK V possibilities soon.
Check out the full Cinescape interiew, in which Shatner talks about ENTERPRISE, here.
