Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

Talking in a brief interview with Zap2it about the familial connections among the ENTERPRISE cast, actor Anthony Montgomery says he'd like to see Original Series icon Nichelle Nichols appear as the grandmother or a mentor figure for his character, 'Travis Mayweather.'
"What would really be wonderful -- I don't think it would ever be possible -- is having Nichelle Nichols play a grandmother or some sort of mentor to Travis, somebody he went somewhere and saw," Montgomery told Zap2it's Kate O'Hare. "I would want it to be Nichelle, just because the first original African-American in space to meet the current one -- that would be absolutely great, and having her impart some wisdom into Travis ... I just want him to keep growing, whatever it means."
The actor says he's eager to learn more about Mayweather's own family, suggesting that perhaps Danny Glover could play his father. "We've talked about it, and obviously, in 'Fortunate Son' [a first-season episode about a freighter attacked by pirates], we touched on a lot of things. There's obviously a lot going on inside of Travis, unresolved."
As for the sexy scenes in the Decon Chamber that Montgomery has yet to participate in, the actor says there needs to be some dignity about it.
"They haven't had me do that yet," he says of the decontamination scenes. "Most everybody has. I told them there needs to be a reason for Travis to be in his skivvies. Not just on our show -- on any television -- sex sells, and I get that. But I still think it has to be done tastefully. I don't think anything needs to be gratuitous, and me walking around with no shirt on, just to show that I'm in shape, that's foolish."

And Nichelle Nichols is just a bit too well known as a charachter who existed a century later, for the results not to be a bit wierd.

Trek has seldom done any great depth on the lives and drama of non-Starfleet Federation characters. "Fortunate Son" and "Marauders" are good starts.
Enterprise NX-01 would be a great series to start this. I'd love to see how freighter crews, station crews, colonists, etc. live and work as space pioneers. They don't have the rules or resources of Starfleet to back them up when they run into trouble. There are all sorts of possibilities.
It might flesh out their space to have some recurring starbases, colonies, and starships (human or alien) to appear from time to time. It would also save costs and develop characters and human and alien cultures. You wouldn't want to focus too often on recurring places or characters, but they could reappear once a season or so.
Note ~ it would be great to have some characters that would be allies, neutral, or occasionally helpful, occasionally not.

How would you rate the latest ENT episode, THE CATWALK, on a scale from 1 (bad) to 10 (excellent) in comparison to the best and the worst episodes of all previous Star Trek episodes?
