Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

The Wedneday print edition of USA
Today has published the final ratings for the week of November 18-24. It
was a very quiet week for the science fiction/fantasy genre, at least on air,
as five shows were preempted for one-off presentations and one's
disappearance was, reportedly, confirmed as cancellation (UPN's Haunted).
UPN's ENTERPRISE finished with a 3.1/5 for 4.8 million viewers with
the episode "Singularity"; a tick up from the all-time low of 4.5 million
last week and good enough for third place in an abbreviated horse race. The
WB's Smallville finished in the top spot with 8.3 million viewers followed by
UPN's Buffy the Vampire Slayer with 5.0 million. FOX's John Doe and Firefly,
The WB's Charmed and Angel, and ABC's Alias all opted-out this week.
The real news this week happened off screen as The WB's cancellation of
the Batman-derivative Birds of Prey was confirmed. Also, Aint-it-Cool-News has received
several reports that Joss Whedon's western cum science fiction series Firefly
has been temporarily shelved by FOX. However, it is speculated that Firefly
may reappear in the 9 pm, Monday night slot in January. Also, it was reported
that The WB's Angel will be moved into Birds of Prey's old 9 pm, Wednesday
night slot opposite the NBC's The West Wing. Poor Angel; shuttled from
suicidal slot to another... well, at least it isn't Friday night.
Top Ranked Science Fiction/Fantasy Genre Network Series
Week of November 18-24 (based on number of viewers)
1) Smallville (WB) - 4.7/7 (8.3 million)
2) Buffy the Vampire Slayer (UPN) - 3.0/5 (5.0 million)
3) Enterprise (UPN) - 3.1/5 (4.8 million)
4) Birds of Prey (WB) - 2.6/4 (4.0 million)
5) The Twilight Zone (UPN) - 2.0/3 (3.0 million)
NOTE: FOX's John Doe and Firefly were preempted for the presentation of
Happy Gilmore. UPN's Haunted has, according to reports, been canceled. The
WB's Charmed and Angel were preempted for a presentation of The Wizard of Oz.
ABC's Alias was preempted for a presentation of the Pennsylvania Miners Story.
For the week, CBS and NBC finished in a dead heat for the week with an
average of 13.2 million viewers, closely followed by ABC's 12.5 million.
UPN's finished WAY back in last place for the week with an average of 4.0
million, 1.4 million behind The WB.
NEXT WEEK: The series USA Today calls "a turkey" serves up what it has to
offer. yes, it's Jurassic.... oops, Dinotopia.

got what it deserved. I watched the pilot and a couple of other episodes and I thought it sucked. I only watched past the pilot because I'm a sucker for red-heads.
Last night I happened to watch because Batgirl was going to make a temporary comeback. Her old arch-enemy came back to town at the exact same time Helena's old friend showed up. Hmm, big mystery there. The villain, Shiva, blames Batgirl for killing her younger sister. Shiva came out of a building and Batgirl threw a batarang at her and missed. Shiva runs into the building and then it inexplicably blows up. The batarang bounced into a corner of the building, so MAYBE it hit a gas line and caused a spark? Who knows? Was the building abandoned or an apartment building? Who knows? The best way to appreciate ENT is to watch a show with writing like this FIRST.
Maybe if they replaced Huntress with Hawkgirl, brought in Batgirl who can walk, and made Black Canary older, gave her boobs, sonic powers, a costume, and the name, then I might watch. Kind of like a meta-Charlie's Angels.
I admit I didn't read the comic book, but according to the show, the city's called NEW Gotham, and Batman's some kind of urban legend only a few have ever even heard of. Wassup with that? And Huntress has no mask or secret ID?
I think the secretary in VIP does more than Barbara does in BOP, and making the blonde girl that young and a touch telepath is just too blah. It seems like they're trying to cover too many bases in one show; the super-hero angle, the intellectual(Barb reminds me of Agent Scully) angle, and the teen angle. Trying to throw a weak clone of Smallville angst into a third of the show didn't work at all. I like super-shows ala Smallville so I hope WB keeps trying, but BOP wasn't the way to go in my opinion.

How would you rate the latest ENT episode, THE CATWALK, on a scale from 1 (bad) to 10 (excellent) in comparison to the best and the worst episodes of all previous Star Trek episodes?
