Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

TrekWeb received the following information concerning the Wednesday premiere of STAR TREK NEMESIS in New York City next week.
PATRICK STEWART TO HOST NEW YORK PREMIERE OF PARAMOUNT PICTURES’ STAR TREK NEMESIS
— Proceeds to Benefit the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center —
NEW YORK— Acclaimed actor Patrick Stewart will host the New York Gala Premiere of Star Trek Nemesis, the tenth film in the popular series. Other Star Trek cast members will attend the premiere to celebrate the film’s opening and raise funds for HIV/AIDS research.
Proceeds from the screening will benefit Direct Effect, which will direct the funds to research on HIV/AIDS treatment and vaccines at New York’s Rockefeller University and the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center (ADARC), the world’s largest nonprofit HIV/AIDS research center.
“We’re very pleased to collaborate with Patrick Stewart, Paramount Pictures, and the Star Trek team on this exciting event,” said Dr. David Ho, Director of the Diamond Center, who was recognized by TIME as the 1996 Man of the Year for the Center’s contribution to AIDS research. “It is appropriate that the exciting science-fiction of Star Trek will support the real scientific advances being made at ADARC and The Rockefeller University.”
The premiere will take place Wednesday, December 11, 8:00 p.m., at The Clearview Beekman Theatre. Invitations can be obtained from the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center, (212) 448-5163. Tickets for the gala premier are $200 and include an after-party at Guastavino’s.
Establish in 1991, the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center (ADARC) is the world’s largest private research laboratory devoted solely to biomedical research on HIV/AIDS. Under the direction of Dr. David Ho, ADARC has played an important role in research that has helped advance scientific understanding of HIV and improve clinical care for people with HIV/AIDS. ADARC is affiliated with The Rockefeller University.
