Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses, bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices, check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away from home.

The Digital Bits has released the first information about the forthcoming STAR TREK IV: THE VOYAGE HOME Special Collector's Edition DVD, to hit U.S. store shelves March 4th, 2003. The DVD will include more featurettes than any previous STAR TREK special edition DVD, with apparently twelve all new presentations.

Disc one will contain the original theatrical cut of the film in anamorphic widescreen and Dolby Digital 5.1 English and French sound. Commentaries will include director/actor Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner, along with text commentary by Mike Okuda.

Disc two will come full of extras including:

  • Travel: The Art of the Possible
  • The Language of Whales
  • A Vulcan Primer
  • Kirk's Women
  • Future's Past: A Look Back
  • On Location
  • Dailies Deconstruction
  • Below-the-Line: Sound Design
  • From Outer Space to the Ocean
  • The Bird of Prey
  • Roddenberry Scrapbook
  • Featured Artist: Mark Lenard

The second disc will also include archival interview footage with Nimoy, Shatner and the late DeForest Kelley, storyboards and production photo gallery and the film's original theatrical trailer.

Cover artwork is available at DVD Answers. Stay tuned for pre-order details. Thanks to 'Bill Williams' for the lead on this. For more information on STAR TREK IV, including the European prologue that will not be a part of this special edition, see TrekWeb's 2000 article on the subject.
