Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses, bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices, check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away from home.

Never afraid to make fun of himself or take advantage of his own iconic image, STAR TREK stalwart William Shatner's latest project is a documentary film of his recent SPLAAT Attack paintball match, played in August at Challenge Park Xtreme in Joliet, Illinois. Over 1,500 people joined Shatner at that time in a paintball match to benefit his Hollywood Charity Horse Show and twelve cameras on cranes and a helicopter caught all the sci-fi-themed action for a new film WILLIAM SHATNER'S SPLAAT ATTACK, airing on Pay-Per-View tomorrow, December 8th @ 8 PM EST, and going on sale on DVD Tuesday, December 10th.

"This reality-based film takes viewers behind the gun sight of the people who play paintball, highlighting the strategizing that occurs between teams, depicting the players devotion and illuminating their camaraderie and desire to win," accoding to the press release for the film.

The match is played against the backdrop of somewhat of a science fiction farse romp, starring the animatronic "Big Giant Head," who oversees the match between opposing teams of "intergalactic beings," including teams lead by shockjock 'Mancow' and paintball specialist Tom Kaye.

"We knew that there would be subterfuge, enemy intelligence and confounding plans abounding, but nobody thought an alliance would be formed amongst opposing teams,” hammed Shatner as only he can. "All the while, Shatner fights side-by-side with his fellow team members trudging into the heat of the battle, completing missions, doing everything he can to beat the other worldly life forms of Mancow and Tom Kaye," continues the press release, capitalizing on the inherent hilarity of it all, something many might term 'Shatnerism'.

The fun doesn't stop, as "arriving in grandeur style, Shatner starts the competition by paramotoring in to Challenge Park Xtreme, where he then proceeds to lead his team like only he can; with dynamic strategy, rallying speeches and the willingness to take matters into his own hands when the chips are down. From the moment William Shatner literally flies into the event, he doesn’t stop--and neither do the cameras."

The DVD version will retail for $19.95 through the actor's official web site, WilliamShatner.com, and feature several out-of-this-world (or larger-than-life) "extras":

  • Scene selection
  • Featurette on “Shatner’s Combat Training,” following Shatner as he prepares for battle
  • Bios on Shatner, Tom Kaye, Mancow, JJ Brookshire, Creative Light Entertainment, Kathy Weiss, Pacman and Ike
  • Featurette on the location, Challenge Park Xtreme
  • In-depth look at the arsenal with a close-up of Shatner’s weapon
  • “Extreme Outtakes”
  • Photo gallery
  • Maps of the paintball course
  • Featurette on “Tom’s Tips” spotlighting advice from world renown paintball player, Tom Kaye
  • Three hidden Easter eggs

The Hollywood Horse Charity Show benefits Ahead With Horses, a non-profit therapeutic riding organization that assists approximately 200 severely disabled children each month in Los Angeles. Proceeds will also benefit LA’s BEST, which provides safe and supervised after-school education, enrichment and recreation programs for children ages five to twelve. A portion of the DVD proceeds, of course, will go to these charitable causes.

In related news, Shatner will be the focus of the E! True Hollywood Story on the E! Entertainment Television cable network tomorrow night at 8 PM EST (5 PM PST).
