Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses, bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices, check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away from home.

Grauman's Chinese Theater The world premiere of STAR TREK NEMESIS went off without a hitch last night at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood and StarTrek.com has compiled a report on the event, which includes an 11-minute video segment hosted by DS9 guest actress Chase Masterson as well as a photo gallery. The video features brief segments with just about everyone involved (except Jonathan Frakes, who was unavailable while shooting a movie in Canada). The video is available in both Windows Media and Quicktime formats.

Actor Tim Allen The red carpet was decorated with NEMESIS posters as the stars of the movie arrived, and other guests including Buzz Aldrin, Tim Allen, Brannon Braga, Dr. Mae Jemison, Linda Park and Jane Leeves.

The after premiere party took place at the Kodak Theater next door to Grauman's, and according to the report, "As the guests filed out of the theater and entered the bash, an eerie light fog enveloped them. Whether it was intended to be in keeping with the mood of the film or the 'Nemesis' theatrical poster, the party certainly kicked off in style. With exquisite food laid out and an abundance of refreshments, the party guests got the royal treatment as ice sculptures, music and projected images of space, movie stills and the space station completed the ambiance."

Bearded Patrick Stewart Check out the full report at this page. You can also see 102 photos from the event online at WireImage, and fifteen larger stills at Yahoo!. The festivities continue Wednesday with a second premiere in New York City.

The transcript from Friday's Gates McFadden web chat has been posted at StarTrek.com.

The Oregon Daily Emerald has published a new article tracking the history of the STAR TREK films.

The Toronto Sun covers NEMESIS with its own article about the franchise and the movie, featuring remarks from Marina Sirtis, Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner and Rick Berman.

The New Jersey Star Ledger has its own STAR TREK article with quotes from Stewart, Spiner and Berman. These remarks include opinions on INSURRECTION and the ever-present "is this the end?" phenomenon:

"I didn't care for ('Insurrection')," admits Spiner. "I just didn't think it was a very interesting story and it didn't show us at our best. There was a germ of an interesting idea that didn't get realized. It just wasn't ready to make. There may have been a very good film potentially there, but it was rushed into production."

The Central Florida STAR TREK Fan Club U.S.S. Benevolence sends word of its two-day NEMESIS celebration taking place Friday and Saturday at Orlando's Loew's Universal Cineplex, in the heart of the Universal Studios Escape resort. Fans will attend in costume and comic book artist Arne Starr will be on hand. Radio Sci-Fi will also broadcast live Saturday night from 8-11p. More information is available here.

Tom Hardy is quite striking. Mirina looks kinda Tampy. Stewart looks good with a beard and Majel looks un-life like.
Looking forward to the movie though. I want it to be good. I want Good Trek!

    (no spoilers)

A friend and I origionally went just to take some pics and watch all the stars file onto the red carpet. Security was...annoying. They had pretty much everyone stand across the street to watch the event. There were some barricades set up on the side near the Kodac theater but it was still hard to see from there. We saw Chase Masterson getting ready for her hosting duties.

Then a most wonderful thing happened...someone offered us 2 tickets to go watch the movie! SO we got to bypass the "will call" window, stepped onto the red carpet and into the theater with all the stars. (Halley Berry was at the premiere!)

The movie I am glad to say is excellent, IMHO. There's a lot of very deep emotion in the film and some really spectacular action sequences. Plenty of surprises. I'm not describing a lot sos I don't ruin it for anyone, nor do I want to hype it up too much for people. I just personally thoght it was a great flick.

Not many dislikes abotu the movie at all. I'd have to say I didn't really dig the score this time around, and I thought that some of the new sets (sickbay), and props (tricorder) were a bit flat and unimaginitive. And I still prefer a model to a CG ship. And thats it.

This is definitly not another "feels like just another episode" movie. This is a great film. Hope everyone goes and checks it out this weekend so it can garner some good cash for the weekend. I know I'm going again to support it!
