Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

Speaking in an online chat with StarTrek.com, STAR TREK NEMESIS director Stuart Baird says the DVD for the movie will include many extras including deleted scenes, but as of now, there are no plans to recut the movie with reinserted scenes.
"The Director's Cut is the cut that you'll see at the cinema," Baird told fans. "I have added to the DVD some scenes that I deleted from the finished film. They work on their own, but in the film, they slowed the pace down and didn't add any additional information that was not already clearly indicated."
Baird says he tried to make NEMESIS a darker film than previous STAR TREK adventures.
"What inspired the darker scenes was the script itself," he said. "The story is a dark story, so I wanted to give this movie a feel of threat and doom, photographically. From the very first frames, we set the mood of the movie to introduce the Romulan Senate being destroyed and even before that, the two planets, Romulus and Remus. The Remans have been described in the script as people who lived on the dark side of the planet, so I was determined to get a very interesting look for them and the sets and lighting. I took my inspirations for that from some German Expressionist movies of the 20s and 30s."
The director says he hopes fans who may have read the film's script a year ago will come to the movie with an open mind.
"It's disgusting! I don't know how it happens, obviously there are a lot of copies printed for cast and crew, but it does give the game away. However, reading a script is a very different experience than seeing a movie. Making a film has four distinct processes — scripting, casting, shooting and then editing. And in each of those processes, the movie changes. It's a living organism that constantly changes itself. And one hopes that as a director, even if the audience has read the script, they will be so engaged in the experience of watching and involving themselves in the movie, the experience of the movie, that it won't be such a negative thing."

Deleted things-the way I want it

What I hate the most about DVDs today, is that USUALLY (99.9% of the time) the deleted scense are under a menu, and you gotta access them manually. They are not part of the movie.
In other words: I can't just play the movie and watch it begining to end WITH the new scenes!
Those of you who have Terminator 2 on DVD know what I mean. The movie is full of cut scenes and you can just watch it with them.
I hope (but think not) that they will do it like T2, or at least have a double-sided DVD with the theater version and the full one on each side.
