Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

ENTERPRISE's newest composer Velton Ray Bunch has announced at his official web site that he will be scoring the nineteenth episode of the second season, titled "Judgment." The scoring session is set for March 19, 2003, putting the episode's air date likely sometime in April or early May.
No plot details are yet available for the episode. Bunch has contributed the music for "Silent Enemy," "Acquisition," "Desert Crossing" and "Marauders."
You can reach the original announcement here.
In addition, former STAR TREK composer Ron Jones compares producer Rick Berman to Stalin in a new interview at StarTrekSoundtracks.com.

And when Berman leaves and you still think Trek sucks, who are you goi

All the childish immature trekkies running around here, blaming Berman for everything under the sun that they can think of. I think it's fairly obvious that with Nemesis tanking (Nemesis has grossed a little less than 26 Million in 1 week of release. The Two Towers grossed that Saturday alone according to www.boxofficemojo.com) and Enterprise faltering, Berman will exit sooner than later. But you know what, it isn't going to matter, because the problems that Trek has, have more to do with the people siting in the audience, than the people sitting on the Paramount lot. All these self loathing Trekkies who were proclaiming how Nemesis was going to save the franchise, where are you now. Because, as I said months ago, what are you going to do if Nemesis is a box office disaster? Do you really think Paramount is going to invest more in another film? Of course not. The critics who have never understood Trek, and the fan's who are obssessed with it to the point of dementia, have killed it. You know what, Trek, under Berman, is better than a lot of the Trek under Roddenberry. Gasp, have I just shot someones sacred cow or what.
Trek, for all intents and purposes is now dead. Berman and Braga didn't kill it, the fans did. Look at the list of names here that are posting nothing but negative comments, they are the true assasins. Look how the news story that generated this remark couldn't wait to highlight the disparaging remarks made by a ex-trek composer. But when Berman et. all are praised for something, do we see any mention of it at all? No.
So cherish the memories, the age of Trek is over. That saddens me. I've been a fan for almost 35 years, and I hate to see it end, but it was a good run and the true fans gave as good as we got. The true fans rescued TOS when it was cancelled. We managed to get Paramount to commit to a series of motion pictures, and we have generated several great weekly science fiction series. Unfortunatly at some point when the true fans weren't watching, the noble idea that is Star Trek was highjacked by bickering, obnoxious, children, and again I don't mean on the production side of the Camara, I mean in fandom.
Perhaps the only good thing that will come about from the death of Trek is that a lot of these people, who have managed to kill the show, will move on to others and leave whats left of Fandom to the true Trekkers. The day of liberation is coming, soon.

Berman, here is a fact:

The two most well loved Star Trek soundtracks are from The Motion Picture and The Wrath of Khan.
Those two films featured excellent soundtracks that featured prominently and where encouraged - in TMPs case, Jerry Goldsmiths incredible score saved the film in many peoples eyes and it deserved an oscar.
The music is just as important as what we see, TMP demonstrated that as have countless other films.
I also agree with Ron Moore's statement on the Enterprise opening.
Stop dumbing down Star Trek when it has the most intelligent and mature fans of ANY franchise. (correction, HAD)

>>>After I was assassinated I noticed that the scores sounded less melodic and more pad-like. Ricky Berman always considered music an intrusion, a necessary evil. I now can relate to the poor composers that were brought up before Stalin for being too creative. They were made to apologize for thinking out of the Party line. In Hollywood they just call someone else that will kiss ass bigger and better if you don’t agree.<<<
No argument here.
Rick Berman...it's time for you to leave.

Ya know Berman, I probably would not have enjoyed Nemesis nearly as well had the music not been there! Intrusion indeed, Berman.
And it's refreshing to see how candid the "ex-Treks" are about their former employers. And, gotta love Ron Jones's description of Enterprise's theme: it sucks! Classic. :)

How would you rate the latest ENT episode, THE CATWALK, on a scale from 1 (bad) to 10 (excellent) in comparison to the best and the worst episodes of all previous Star Trek episodes?
