Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away

Dept: Star Trek: Nemesis
STAR TREK NEMESIS debuts in the United Kingdom this Friday, January 3rd, and according to The Great Link several publications have positively reviewed the film.
Reviewer James Brooks of Starburst Magazine gives NEMESIS 5/5 stars and writes, "...an unkind viewer would leave the theatre calling this movie The Wrath of Shinzon. Not only are so many of the major themes inspired by The Wrath of Khan, but a great number of plot elements. While this might seem like a lack of originality, a more realistic view would be that some themes are universal, no matter what their generation."
Ian Spelling writing for the UK's Film Review Magazine gives the film 4/5 stars and writes, "Screenwriter (and fan!) John Logan ‘Gladiator’ Logan often hits the bulleye. He nails the camaraderie and technobabble, but the drama is never pushed far enough. With Picard and Shinzon there’s little sense of what Picard thinks and feels of his clone as he considers how his life might have been."
The Irish RTE Interactive also gives the film 4/5 stars and says, "'Nemesis' offers all that is great about Star Trek – brilliant action sequences and impressive special effects but of course, as is the tradition with this franchise, it explores greater themes."

Well just back from seeing Nemesis here in the UK...and wonderful, I felt that the film really hit the mark with humour effects and a good story.
It looked great and the ending ... (tear in the eye) looks like this will be TNG's swan song and if it is i feel it did the series justice.
As for the negitive comments ive read here!...did you go to see the same film?
I went with a crowd of friends ... some not Star Trek fans and they gave it 8/10
Great stuff pure Star Trek for me just what I needed after the end of festivities blues.
Roll on ST11..I wish..I'll miss TNG family.

This may be a tad bit off topic.. But when I saw Nemesis again, I noticed something cool.
NOTE: Minor SPOILER ALERT
One of the Federation ships that The Enterprise was supposed to meet with before the Space Battle was the USS Archer. IF you look at the tactical display screen behind Picard while he's talking to Data, The ship listed on the bottom appeared to be the USS Archer. Other ships I was able to glimpse was the USS Galaxy, and the USS Intrepid. Yes, I know these are the first ships of their respective classes.
--------End of Spoiler ALERT-----
Having said that, I have paid to see Nemesis 3 times already. the first time-opening day, I took 2 friends along. The second, I went by myself, and the third, I took a relative along. I wish that more fans were enthusiatic as I am. If they were, Nemsis will have made at least 60 million by now. I really wanted this movie to succeed but fans have gotten to picky. I think that if every Trek fan saw the movie once more, Nemesis could recover even more.
About Enterprise...
Anyone who has visited my web site and read my reviews of the Enterprise episodes know that I too have my little annoyances with the writers. BUt do I want the show cancelled? NO.
Will I stop watching the show? NO.
Star Trek is a show that means a lot to me. It has helped shape me into the responsible, intelligent, scientific, and moral person that I am today. I imagine this to be true of a lot of fans. I think that we as fans, have forgotten what Star Trek is and what it was meant to be. With the apparent failure of Nemesis, ENterprise is our last hope. We NEED to get our acts together and be more supportive of the show. I refuse to believe that a TRUE Trek fan really wants to see Trek die like this. Yes, I believe that people have the right to complain when they don't like the quality. BUt, those same people need to understand that everyone cannot be satisfied. The Internet is partly to blame as well. We read scripts of upcoming movies, read spoilers for upcoming episodes, and already have our complaints written, and our minds made up about a certain movie or episode before it airs. This, in my opinion has greatly added to the downfall of Star Trek.
JUst some food for thought for fans who want Trek to end.

How would you rate the latest ENT episode, THE CATWALK, on a scale from 1 (bad) to 10 (excellent) in comparison to the best and the worst episodes of all previous Star Trek episodes?
