Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

Sci-Fi Wire speaks today with co-creator of THE DEAD ZONE, Shawn Piller, about the show's new season premiering Sunday at 10p on USA Network. The show is executive produced by STAR TREK veteran Michael Piller and set cable records with successful ratings in its debut season over the summer.
"We didn't want to make it such a serialized, soap-opera type thing," Piller said of the show's first season finale, which had protagonist Johnny Smith (Anthony Michael Hall) bedding his married former fiancee, played by DS9er Nicole de Boer. "Although we could have milked it longer, I think what we're doing now will evolve the characters in a way that makes everybody stand on their own. I think we were a little worried that Sarah was becoming too much of a homemaker, and I know she wanted to be more proactive. When we talked to her originally about doing the show, we really wanted to find stuff for her to do that was challenging. We have, and I think we need to keep doing that."
Shawn also touches on the storyline of the finale, which picks up in the premiere, dealing with politician 'Greg Stillson' (Sean Patrick Flannery). Stillson was the villain in the original Stephen King novel that provides the basis for THE DEAD ZONE.
"It's going to be a continuing Greg Stillson arc," Piller said. "We'll be getting more into what's going on with the guy who may or may not be responsible for the end of the world. ... He is an evil, evil guy, but at the same time, he doesn't think he's evil, which makes him really scary. He's addicted to fame, and he's addicted to power. He's just very angry, and he's just got some dark stuff going on."

What's the big deal about this show? OK, it has a Star Trek veteran attached but why are there banners all over the site, pop-up ads? You think we haven't noticed??
It doesn't even concern half the world. Stop telling us about it.

How would you rate the latest ENT episode, THE CATWALK, on a scale from 1 (bad) to 10 (excellent) in comparison to the best and the worst episodes of all previous Star Trek episodes?
