Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

The Klingons have been absent since this season's earlier "Marauders" but in the upcoming nineteenth episode, they'll be back, and one in particular will be the ancestor of a notorious TNG villain. According to plot information provided to TrekWeb this morning, "Judgement" will tell the tale of the inquiry into a Klingon commander's failed mission to restore order to a rebelling alien colony. The Klingon is 'Duras', no doubt an ancestor of the traitorous Klingon house that betrayed its people to the Romulans at Khittomer and later conspired to frame Worf's father, Mogh, for the crime as revealed in THE NEXT GENERATION.
In the story, the Enterprise NX-01 comes to the aid of a species known as the Arin'sen, who unbeknownst to Archer, are rebelling against Klingon domination of their colony. Duras recalls his encounter with Archer in a flashback while giving testimony at the inquiry. Duras lost his command of the Bortas due to the incident; the Bortas was also the name of Gowron's ship in the Klingon Civil War of "Redemption I" and "II."
Archer eventually takes the stand to tell his recollection of events to the Klingon inquisitor, which includes a conversation with a colonist named 'Asahf', who informed the captain of his people's plight at the hands of the Klingons. In addition to Duras, Asahf, and 'Orak', the Klingon inquisitor, guest roles also include a first officer and guard. This story information is based on early and incomplete fragments of the episode's script, which is likely to undergo significant revision by the time the installment airs later in the season. Next to bringing in the Andorians I think this will be my second favourite story! :) I just hope the Klingon's are ruthless as they should be in this era - Archer going to a Klingon trial instead of being killed for mucking up the Empire's plans doesn't sound very early era Klingon to me. :/

Duras

So they are giving the continuity pornographers (of which I am one) a story that links to a minor character that played a minor role in only two TNG episodes. Its not like this new ENT Klingon can pay homage to TNG. After 200 years the two characters have nothing in common. And the TNG Duras was only a one note villian anyway.
Why not give us the history of Worf or Gowron's family? While also writing something new about the Klingon family/social unit.
Dont we recogonige that the writers are dooping us?
B&B give us little bits of inconsequential continuity so to apease the fans enough that they can ignore the big continuity problems, like a realistic founding of the federation (which was supposed to be the entire premise).

Of all the established ST characters to return on ENT I wasn't expecting Duras, but I like the idea. Of course, I usually like all the little pre-premises found on Trekweb, but the episode doesn't always live up to it. Hopefulle this one does.

Second half of season sounds promising

I must echo others in expressing moderate excitement for several ENT storylines in the second half of the season. Whether they execute is another story, but at least several of them sound like they are trying to take more advantage of the prequel premise and do stories that excite the audience. Vulcan/Andorian conflict, good. Tholians making an appearance, good. Duras' ancestor in an episode, good. At least these ideas get me somewhat excited, eager to see how they pan out. A far cry from episodes like "Singularity" or "Precious Cargo" or even "Dawn," though that ep surprised me pleasantly.

Back on Track?

I like the premise of this story. The premise does not address my overarching criticism of Enterprise that the writing and vision of the series haven't been up to the standards laid down by TNG and DS9. But, at least they are trying to get the TNG fans back, as Jadziamidala said.
I'd like to see Enterprise get back to stories based on Earth's evolution from a minor to major player in the Alpha Quadrant. I'd like more examination of Earth's relationship with other planets and colonies that will form the Federation. I'd like to learn more about Earth during this time period. And I'd like to see Archer become a better and more compelling commander. His character is poorly written and unevenly acted.
Please Enterprise get your @#*$ together. The fans are loyal and are simply asking to be respected and rewarded for their loyalty.

between Duras' ancestor and the Tholians returning, it's quite obvious that TPTB are desparate to get TOS & TNG fans to come back. They better do something, or this show won't be around at all for much longer.
