Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

Speaking yesterday with Sci-Fi Wire, ENTERPRISE actress Jolene Blalock says she's proud of the upcoming February 5th episode "Stigma," in which T'Pol contracts a disease in a story allegorical to the AIDS epidemic.
"It's one thing to have a story where you see a character who's sick and dealing with it, and it's another to see how a character contracts the disease," Blalock says. "And we do show how. She contracts the disease through a mind-meld, and there's a lot of shame concerning the act," which, in the Star Trek timeline, isn't yet a common practice."
She says the writers wanted to maintain similarity to AIDS and not depict T'Pol as physically debilitated by the disease.
"A lot of people walking around right now have AIDS or the HIV virus, and you wouldn't know it. So the decision was made not to have me look sickly. That helps eliminate the sympathy factor, and I'm really happy about that. It's not about feeling sorry for T'Pol."

In other news, STAR TREK veteran and helmer of the ENTERPRISE pilot "Broken Bow," James Conway, will direct "Judgement," which begins production today in Hollywood, according to Amy's Casting Couch at FilmJerk.
The episode deals with the Klingon trial of 'Duras', a commander who fails in his mission due to Enterprise interference (story). The shoot will wrap January 28th on this, the nineteenth, episode of the season. "Judgement" will likely air in April or May.

I am looking forward to this episiode. Jolene does a great job as T'Pol and I can't wait to see another episode centered around her.

I've been as disappointed as anyone by Enterprise this season, but the upcoming episodes discussed here do sound promising. We'll see.
