Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

Speaking briefly today with Sci-Fi Wire, ENTERPRISE executive producer Brannon Braga revealed more details about the involvement of the classic TREK species, the Tholians, in an upcoming episode. "Crash Landing" airs February 19th and will be the first chapter in the on-going temporal cold war storyline since the season premiere "Shockwave, Part II."
"The Tholians make a kind of a surprising appearance in that show," Braga said. "We hint that they might be involved somehow as another faction in the Temporal Cold War. So they're not just a species that we meet. They may play a bigger role."
Another TOS species already playing a bigger role is the Andorians, who will return with Jeff Combs as 'Shran' in "Cease Fire" on February 12th. Stay tuned. Check out the original story here.

From what Brannon says, it seems to me that he somehow *does* listen to critics that are always found on the Internet. He says, this time they will not just introduce another known species from the ST universe without a bigger reason.
Yes, they're working all day, all week, to satisfy you. I look forward to see those ongoing storylines with the Temporal Cold War. :o)

The Tholian Revolt

I am so tired of you people. I come to this site for the news, I read the comments hoping to find someone has posted more rumors or has something positive to say. Granted everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, but does every opinion have to be so consistently negative. One dumb a** is barking at Brannon for not being original and reusing previously established alien. This is a damn prequel, ok. By it’s very natural a prequel is designed to explore what is already established in a greater depth. If you want new aliens every week got watch Voyager. Enterprise is supposed to explore previously established aliens. Then we have this other person who would recognize Trek lore if it was shoved up his a**. Kirk did not make first contact with the Tholians; they were already renowned in the Beta Sector. On the other hand Kirk did make first contact with the Gorn. We can’t be having them on Enterprise even if we wish we could. I’ll tell you this much, we should have seen the Gorn on TNG or DS9. Why not welcome the Tholian to Enterprise for God sakes. Now I know that Enterprise is weak and pale, lately it has been extremely hard to support Trek. But if you are a true fan of Trek, then when ever TPTB have an epiphany and come up with a good story idea we should jump on it and support it. Good stories have become like a Haley’s Comet, a once in a lifetime experience. Why would you want to miss it, or complain the comet wasn’t original enough for you?

I just had a class taught by creator of Tholians

I took a writing class 2 weeks ago that was taught by Judy Burns who wrote "The Tholian Web" episode.
She said that she always thought of Tholians as guarding that section of space that the Enterprise went through. She envisioned them as guardians, since that space was always in temporal flux.
She thought that they kept races out of their section of space because someone might get to another time and mess up the time/space continum.
I wonder if one of the writers ever took a class from her... : )

We know that you are devoid of anything original in your script writing these days.
Please resign and be a stay home husband while Jeri works on Boston Public. We would all be better for it and we might actually get some original Trek.
You are running out of Aliens to rip off from the original series.
How long till the Tribbles come back?

I for one don't think much of the Tholians being on Enterprise as I have always taken The Tholian Web to be the first time the Federation encountered them. However, if Future Guy has got them involved it may make it at least possible. As much as we'd like to see the Tholians and the Gorn again, it needs to make sense in the scope of the Trek universe and not skirting the surface like they did with the Ferengi.

I like the sounds of this episode. I was hoping B&B would continue with the TCW idea. By the sounds of things, the Tholians will not be just another alien of the week.
