Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses, bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices, check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away from home.

Pre-order nowThere is plenty of STAR TREK book news to report this morning. First, Pocket Books editor Marco Palmieri unveiled some bad news for DS9: Re-launch fans yesterday via the Star Trek Books Yahoo! Group.

UNITY by S.D. Perry, the next novel in the DS9 post-finale series, has been pushed back from April to November 2003. Palmieri reports that the novel needs extra time to complete due to delays caused by new additions to both his and Perry's families recently. "[The books] will close out our DS9 tenth anniversary celebration rather than opening it as originally planned," Palmieri noted in the announcement.

Palmieri also announced six all-new DS9 novels for 2004, which will continue to post-finale series of novels in the form of three two-book standalone stories called WORLDS OF DEEP SPACE NINE: "Each standalone story will immerse readers in a different alien culture while at the same time tying directly into the continuing storyline of the post-finale DS9 novels," Palmieri said.

The alien worlds featured throughout the series will be Cardassia, The Dominion, Ferenginar, Trill, and Andor, and the books will begin publication in early 2004 with subsequent volumes in succession every three to four months.

In addition, the editor announced the author line up for the forthcoming DS9 Tenth Anniversary anthology celebration, PROPHECY AND CHANGE:

  • Christopher L. Bennett (SCE: Aftermath)
  • Elizabeth Braswell (first published Star Trek story)
  • Keith R.A. Decandido (DS9: Demons of Air and Darkness)
  • Heather Jarman (DS9: This Gray Spirit) Jeffrey Lang (DS9: Abyss)
  • Michael A. Martin and Andy Mangels (DS9: Cathedral)
  • Una McCormack (first published Star Trek story)
  • Terri Osborne (first published Star Trek story)
  • Andrew J. Robinson (DS9: A Stitch in Time)
  • Kevin G. Summers (DS9: "Isolation Ward 4," from Strange New Worlds IV)

PROPHECY AND CHANGE is currently shooting for a September 2003 publication.

Pocket Books author and editor of the Star Trek Communicator, Larry Nemecek, will chat with fans at several venues in the next few days to promote his new edition of the ST:TNG COMPANION (TrekWeb's review).

You can catch Nemecek live on Internet radio talk show I-Sci-Fi tonight, January 30th, @ 6:30p PT. You can call into the show toll-free at 1-866-532-5160. Nemecek will also join fans in an online chat at StarTrek.com next Tuesday, February 4th. Nemecek will chat for an hour before handing the mic over to fellow author Geoffrey Mandel, who will discuss STAR TREK: STAR CHARTS.

It's not six new books, it's three new books. Worlds of Deep Space Nine will be structured the same way as The Badlands in 1998 and The Brave and the Bold in 2002 -- two novellas in one book.

Can somone post a timeline of the post finale DS9 books? I own Avatar 1&2 and Section 31 Rogue, and I want to continue following the plotline but I don't know what order to buy them in.
