Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses, bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices, check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away from home.

As ENTERPRISE embarks on the second half of its sophomore year, the writing staff is quietly nearing completion of the year's scripts. Episode twenty-two will go before cameras next week and TrekWeb has been provided with the first plot details of "Cogenitor" this morning.

The story centers around Trip, who befriends a Vissian known only as the 'Cogenitor'. This individual has a sole purpose in Vissian society: to procreate. Even with such an important duty, his position in his society is second-rate.

Uneducated and not even able to read, Trip teaches him and finds that the alien has a penchant for reading and encourages him to explore the wonders of history and science and even undertake physical challenges like swimming. Cogenitor names himself 'Charles' in appreciation but when the Vissians learn of Trip's contact they are furious.

T'Pol is displeased that the commander may have seriously damaged the Enterprise's chance for a successful first contact with the Vissians and it only gets worse when Trip's new friend requests asylum aboard Enterprise...

Please keep in mind that this information is based on an early and incomplete version of the episode's script. Much is likely to change before the episode airs late in the season. The story and characters are © 2003 Paramount Pictures.

In other ENTERPRISE news, StarTrek.com indicates that next week's episode, previously titled "Crash Landing," has been changed to "Future Tense." Although no explanation is given, it is likely that the change occurred in light of the February 1st Space Shuttle Columbia disaster. "Future Tense" involves competing Suliban and Tholian claims to a futuristic vessel Enterprise uncovers.

DEDICATE THIS EPISODE

This episode is like a prodigal son story. He return to visit his space faring family. This is the pefect episode to dedicate to the crew of Columbia. At the end of the episode they really should show a crew photo of SC-7 with a dedication header above, and the Elton John song "Rocket Man" playing quietly in the background. I mean it was nice to see the "In memory" header at the beginning of Stigma. But that episode didn't exemplify what NASA aspires space travel to lead us to. This one I think does.

I look forward to this episode. It somewhat reminds me of Tosk on DS9.

This episode could be very interesting if done correctly -- particularly the inevitable debate as to why Cogenitor is not allowed to educate himself and has no choices in Vissian society.

ANOTHER filler ep? In these last handful of episdodes, we need to be seeing Suliban, Andorians, and some foreshadowing of whatever event will happen in the finale, NOT filler about bumpy-foreheaded aliens of the week.

Cogenitor and Future Tense

Cogenitor sounds interesting and I actually look forward to not berating it, it reminds me of TOS/TNG a bit from the synopsis I read.

But they really need to start doing bigger story arcs too.

Future Tense would be a furthering of the (ugh) TCW arc, glad to see some movement toward furthering what they've started. I hope it's worthy of spending an hour of my life watching. I hope there's something that utterly surprises me, there's an intergalactic war gestating, when are they going to start getting into the heavy stuff??? As much as I dislike the easy options available via temporal stories, it's started now, and they must start developing the damn storyline some more. I hope we see some real creative surprises for a change instead of the reset button that they've been famous for in the past. A time travel story does not have to mean a reset button is employed.
