PROMENADE

Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses, bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices, check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away from home.

UPN aired the promo for "Future Tense" Wednesday night and TrekWeb is happy to provide it to you. "Future Tense" was originally titled "Crash Landing." In this episode, the Enterprise crew finds a small craft adrift in space that contains a half vulcan, half human corpse. Trip and Reed discover the craft holds some strange secrets, and the mystery deepens when the Suliban arrive making claim to the vessel.

Meanwhile, Captain Archer is also confronted by the Tholians, who are aggressively trying to procure the vessel as well. As a result, Archer now believes that he should take a more active role in the temporal cold war. The episode is written by Mike Sussman and Phyllis Strong and directed by James Whitmore, Jr. ("Acquisition").

John Fleck who has played the role of the Suliban Silik on 'Enterprise' does not make a return in this temporal cold war themed episode. Fleck has been busy working as a regular cast member on the upcoming HBO series 'Carnivále.' The shooting schedule for that series has been demanding, making Fleck unavailable to do guest spots on 'Enterprise.' This maybe why we will be seeing the Tholians
entering the picture in "Future Tense."

The 20 second promo is available to download as a 3.3MB zipped MPG (VCD complaint) file. Click here to download the file. [PLEASE NOTE: Webmasters do not link to the file directly. Please download it and place it on your own server with a link to TrekWeb.com giving credit. Thank you.] In addition to this week's promo, you can download a collection of clips from "Future Tense" courtesy of Vidiot. For those who have issues connecting to the Vidiot file server, we have made a zipped Real Video version available for download here.

On a side note, Stargate SG-1 fans can now also download weekly promos in Quicktime 6 format over at GateWorld. Matt Klamm who provides TrekWeb with Trek media, is now also helping out GateWorld.

For those of you with slower connections, here's a transcript of this week's 'Enterprise' promo:

I think "Future Tense" will continue the current string of excellent Enterprise episodes. If Enterprise can pull off the trifecta (three goods episodes in a row), I'll be really enthused about the prospects for this series.

Here's to hoping for the best and to having the confidence to expect the best from Enterprise.

An interesting little ditty about the corpse being half-human, half-vulcan.

"Special Guest Star, Leonard Nimoy as 'The Corpse'"

I can't wait to see the Tholians (or at least their ships)!

That ship from the future didn't look very futuristic though, but I couldn't see much.
