Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses, bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices, check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away from home.

The reviews are coming in now for Paramount's STAR TREK IV: THE VOYAGE HOME - Colletor's Edition DVD, set to warp onto U.S. store shelves next Tuesday, March 4th. Everyone seems impressed this time around, saying the new set far outstrips both the STAR TREK II and III special edition packages of last year.

TrekWeb's Steve Krutzler gave the set 5/5 stars in our full review:

"Put simply, this is the finest STAR TREK DVD release since 2001’s THE MOTION PICTURE – Director’s Edition," Krutzler writes. "There’s no doubt that this is a fine addition to anyone’s collection and an excellent model for both future DVD releases and future STAR TREK movies."

Meanwhile, Bill Hunt at The Digital Bits was equally impressed, writing, "I'm gonna say it right now: this is the first one of these Trek film special editions that I've really, thoroughly enjoyed since The Motion Picture. Paramount has a formula for these things, which is to do lots of featurettes. And that's fine... provided you do them right. Finally, they've done them right!"

Hunt goes on to say that the DVD extras on this set are quite impressive: "Disc Two includes a whole mess of them, and darned if they aren't well done in terms of both content AND production quality! Someone was obviously listening to those many of us who reviewed the previous collector's editions, and bemoaned the amateurish production values while praising the material contained therein."

Peter M. Bracke at DVD File has published his review, again lavishing praise on the improved DVD extras.

"While the transfer and 5.1 remix are nice, where this new two-disc set really shines is in the extras," says Bracke. "Spread across two discs, the material here is a step up over the rather abysmal quality of the video-based extras on the Trek II and Trek III special edition DVDs. With a new production team behind this set, the extras here are spiffier, better shot and more varied."

Hello all. Let me just say that not only do I think your all losers, but I am one also. Secondly, I do live in my parents basement, and yes, I do indeed masterbate to pics of William Shatner. I do hate all of you. In fact, I hate everyone. Beware posting here - if you post something that I don't like it, I promise that I will take it personally and begin flaming. In addition, by posting my messages I will reveal myself to be an ignorent, uneducated moron with a serious lack of respect for anything and anyone. You can expect to see more of me. I will be around, ready to insult anyone who posts here. No matter how upset you all get, I will act like the ignorent person I am. In the words of Shatner, I need to "get a life."

I read Bracke's review and laughed out loud when he said that the Earth was being threatened by a "giant Yule log".

Good reviews all around, I'm excited for this one.
