Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses, bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices, check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away from home.

STAR TREK network UPN has made casting decisions for two new drama pilots series and is grooming a sixth comedy project, on the heels of steep declines this season and pressure from parent CBS to beef up its programming next year. Variety reports that the struggling network has ordered THE MULLET BROS, "a comedy pilot about two good ol' boys named after the redneck hairstyle," according to the trade. The brothers would appear to be a perfect fit at UPN, as wrestling fanatics who operate a roofing company.

On the drama front, a National Security Agency technician will be accidentially injected with nanotechnology and become WEAPON X, according to Zap2it. Christopher Gorham will play the title character. Gorham has been previously seen on POPULAR and FELICITY in recurring roles as well as the recent Showtime series ODYSSEY 5.

The drama pilot NEWTON has cast actress Amy Pietz in the role of a mother whose family unsuspectingly moves into a suburban neighborhood that turns out to be a testing ground for new products, Backstage reported. Pietz has previously guested on STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION's "Bloodlines" as well as the sitcom CAROLINE IN THE CITY and recent appearances on CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION. Newton is written by THE DEAD ZONE writer Craig Silverstein.

UPN has now ordered six drama pilots for the new season as well. Visit the original stories at Variety, Zap2it, and Backstage. Thanks to TrekToday for this.

This is just me, personally, but I think they should avoid that title because of its association with X-Men. Or maybe that's exactly what they want to go for - trick people into watching it, thinking that it's a new X-Men show. Who knows.
