Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses, bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices, check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away from home.

IGN has previewed the sequel to the popular first-person shooter STAR TREK: VOYAGER: ELITE FORCE, ELITE FORCE II. The game, slated to hit U.S. shelves on May 20th, begins with the U.S.S. Voyager inside the Borg cube from the series finale "Endgame," and proceeds to update to the NEMESIS-era TNG universe after Voyager arrives home and the Hazard Team departs for its own Alpha Quadrant missions.

Actors Patrick Stewart and Tim Russ are aboard as voice talent this time out, along with TREK guest stars Jeffrey Combs ('Weyoun', 'Shran') and Dwight Schultz ('Barclay'), according to the preview. IGN writes of the game, which has eliminated the female playable version of Hazard Team leader 'Alex Munro' and even squeezes in a bikini-clad scientist into the plot, "Twisting, contorting, looping, and turning the universe upside down, Activision promises that although EF2 may involve saving a whole bunch of folks from something really bad, gamers will never have it figured out until the very end."

The article is quite extensive, reviewing game performance, editing, the story, and including remarks from game developers. You can reach it here.

You can pre-order the game to support TrekWeb from Amazon.com.

I hope they add Kes or Seska into the game, even if they are just players in the Capture-the-Flag or shootouts that are included with the game. They both had pivotal roles in Voyager, even if it was just in the first half of the series.

Better than most Voyager episodes, the "Elite Force" game was one of my favorites, going beyond being a good Trek game into the realm of actually being a good game. I'm hoping EF2 can at least match that!
