UPN has released the official synopses and promotional photos for the first three episodes of April, beginning with next week's broadcast of "The Crossing," April 9th's "Judgment," and April 16th's "Horizon."
"The Crossing": " When Enterprise is enveloped by a vast alien vessel filled with a species that appear only as wisps of vapor, these non-corporeal alien beings capture Enterprise and take form by invading various crew members' bodies to learn more about the humans, or so they say. In an attempt to get back control of Enterprise and to have his crew members' lost souls returned to their appropriate bodies, Archer enlists T'Pol's powers of mind control to determine what the aliens really want."
Story editor Rick Berman and Brannon Braga wrote the teleplay for "The Crossing" from an Andre Bormanis story, which was directed by David Livingston.
"Judgment" features a guest appearance by J.G. Hertzler and will feature the Klingon penal colony 'Rura Penthe' from STAR TREK VI: THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY: "Archer stands trial before the Klingon Tribunal who have charged him with firing on a Klingon warship and providing aid to refugees on the run from the Klingon empire for which the punishment is death. When the prosecution paints a skewed and violent picture of the events in question, Archer challenges his appointed Klingon legal counsel to buck their cruel justice system and let him present his side of the story in the hopes that he will prevail. In the process, Archer learns that Klingons haven't always been a warrior society and that there are Klingons who want to lead a more peaceful existence."
James L. Conway directed the Klingon episode from a script by consulting producer David A. Goodman.
"Horizon": "While Enterprise is on its way to investigate a planetary phenomenon near Earth, Mayweather gets a chance to visit his family on their cargo ship, but his homecoming is cut short when the ship is attacked by alien pirates. Meanwhile, aboard Enterprise, T'Pol and Phlox, who are horror-movie novices, are introduced to the unique human experience of watching the black and white version of Frankenstein with the rest of the crew."
"Horizon" was scripted by Andre Bormanis and helmed by James Contner. The episode guest stars Joan Pringle as Mayweather's mother 'Rianna' and Corey Mendell Parker as his brother 'Paul'.
Meanwhile, the network has announced a schedule change for its May Sweeps ENTERPRISE line-up. "Bounty," which begins the storyline of the season finale, "The Expanse," will now be seen as the second part of a doubleheader with May 14th's "First Flight." The season finale will then air solo on May 21st.
