It's just before Noon eastern and already there's a plethora of tribblet-sized news items to report, so I figured the column could be a little early today. Stay tuned for the final ratings for last week's ENTERPRISE, which should be available by the end of the day.

Caught THE DEAD ZONE season finale last night, really interesting stuff; it was written by Joe Menosky and Michael Piller. I encourage anyone who hasn't checked out this show to give the reruns a whirl.

Name That Van Halen Song of the Day: Yesterday's answer was D.O.A. from VAN HALEN II and the complete lyric is: "Send the mayor down in his pickup truck / the jury look at me, say, 'outta luck', ooh yeah!" Yesterday's winner was Cranston. Bravo! Today's lyric is:

"...puddin' pie banana..."

Tricky, huh? No I didn't make this one up. Remember, to get your name up here tomorrow, be the first to name the lyric directly following this and the song title.
