Shatner Corrals Nimoy for Hollywood Charity Horse Show

William Shatner will host his 13th annual Hollywood Charity Horse Show (HCHS) on April 24-27 at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center and pal Leonard Nimoy will join him for the main event.

Sunday the 26th will be home to the main festivities, including "Celebrity Team Penning," with Shatner and Nimoy and other celebrities testing their skill at rounding up cattle or other animals. Teams of three will participate in the event, comprised of one celebrity, one professional rider, and one amateur, who can earn a spot by making a $500 tax-deductible donation to the HCHS. Prospective riders can visit this page or inquire at (818) 509-2290. Admission to the event is $25.

Other happenings include the Western Dinner Party and Dance after the event in the Equestrian Center banquet room, with entertainment from Jim Belushi's band. A silent auction will take place throughout the day or various TREK memorabilia to benefit the HCHS charities and inner-city school children will be welcomed as guests and entertained throughout the event.

The HCHS benefits Ahead With Horses, a riding program for handicapped children, and LA's Best, an after-school enrichment program in the Los Angeles area.
