The final audience information for last week's first-run presentation of ENTERPRISE's "Judgment" is available, according to the
Los Angeles Times, and the picture is the worst in the show's two-year history.
Drawing an audience of 3.69 million viewers, "Judgment" becomes the least-watched episode of the prequel series ever, eclipsing even the dismal pre-Thanksgiving performance that "Vanishing Point" turned in last year (3.78 million viewers). This puts "Judgment" at over 150,000 less watchers than last week's "The Crossing" (3.85m) and 100,000 viewers below the previous least-watched episode ("Point").
The overnight ratings for the installment (story) were the lowest of 2003, at 3.8/6, but still above "Vanishing Point"'s 3.4/5 from November. The final household rating and share figures for "Judgment" should become available later today, but "Point" managed a 2.5/4 so the numbers may have fallen below this figure. Check back later for the data as it becomes available.
The fall off represents a 41% decline from ENTERPRISE's season two high with "A Night In Sickbay," which garnered 6.26 million viewers in October. Since the series premiered in September of 2001 it has lost nearly a full three-quarters of its initial audience (12.54m, "Broken Bow"). By contrast, the last three new episodes of ENTERPRISE ("Canamar" 4.10m, "The Crossing" 3.85m "Judgment" 3.69m) have each held less people than a repeat presentation of "Shockwave, Part II" on October 23rd, 2002, which commanded 4.18m viewers.
