Happy Thursday to all! The semester is finally coming to an end; the papers are in, the group projects are done, the 10-minute presentations are history. What does that mean? Extra time to work on TrekWeb! Or hang out at the beach, hmm...

Today's Tribblets:

  • Kirk's chair and a TOS bridge console will be part of a new Science Fiction Experience attraction funded by Seattle billionaire Paul Allen to open in 2004.

  • The official web site for ELITE FORCE II has gone live.

  • William Sadler ('Sloan', DS9) will appear in the new series WONDER FALLS, which is being executive produced by Todd Holland and former VOYAGER writer Bryan Fuller.

  • Neal McDonough ('Hawk', FIRST CONTACT) is set to appear as The Rock's ('Pendari Champion', "Tsunkatse") nemesis in the upcoming remake of WALKING TALL.

  • Make up artist Mark Siegel (STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE) talks about his career in a new interview.

  • Kathie Browne McGavin, 'Deela' from ST:TOS "Wink of An Eye," has passed away. She recently appeared on the STAR TREK IV DVD featurette about "Kirk's Women." She was 63.

  • UPN will promoted its new drama PLATINUM with a contest to win a 2003 Maserati Coupe.

  • CBS and UPN chief executive Leslie Moonves has been promoted to Chairman and signed a deal to keep him with the networks through 2007.

  • Totally Games reports that STAR TREK: BRIDGE COMMANDER has been named "Simulator of the Year."

  • Richard Tomkins examines the economics of the STAR TREK universe in a commentary at the Financial Times.

  • The Gene Roddenberry STAR TREK Memorial Highway is close to a done deal according to the El Paso Times.

  • INSURRECTION's Donna Murphy ('Anij') will play 'Rosalie Octavius" in the upcoming SPIDER-MAN sequel.

  • Walter Koenig ('Chekov') will gve an interview to I-Sci-Fi.com tomorrow, April 17th @ 9p ET.

Simulator of the Year, huh? Funny, since Activision totally dropped all it's support of the game. It exists on the modding communities, now. Too bad, I actually liked it, and looked forward to patches and expansions.

Not to nitpick, but there's not TOS episode called "Eye of the Needle". Maybe "Wink of an Eye"? Also, I would have got the VH SOTD if I'd gotten here earlier!
