PROMENADE

Dept: Todays Tribblets
If you haven't noticed, it's somewhat of a slow Monday around here. As the season starts to wind down, there will inevitably be a lull period for a few weeks as we eagerly await the first barrage of information about the third season of ENTERPRISE, future DVD releases, and all the interviews and publicity that precede the fall season. Accordingly, here are four modest news tribblets (just don't give 'em to Phlox).

Name That Van Halen Song of the Day
Wow! Woo! Wee! Huh! Oww! Friday's answer was "So This Is Love?" off FAIR WARNING (don't you just love the vocal acrobatics in the outro to that song? Waaaaaaaahhh, haaaaaaaahh, awah! [air guitar kicks in]. Ok, anyway the complete lyric was: Man needs love to live / I'm the livin' proof / Catch that smile and I hit the roof. I always thought it was Man needs enough to live, but the official tab book proves Longfellow right, Friday's winner of the VHSOTD!

Today's lyric is (hmm, thinking...):

Don't want no class reunion / Your circus just left town...

Today's Tribblets:

  • Robert Picardo ('The Doctor') and Robin Curtis ('Saavik') visited Summit City this past weekend.

  • Bandai's 1/850 scale painted and lighted U.S.S. Enterprise 1701 model is now available in Japan.

  • Robert Beltran will guest star on the May 5th episode of CSI Miami.

  • Linda Park ('Hoshi Sato') will appear on a special celebrity tournament version of JEOPARDY! on Wednesday, April 30th.

No offence to Ms. Park, as she could make it really big someday beyond her current Trek, but it's funny how celebrity jeopardy and other game shows usually only feature "low-level" celebs, and rarely any "high-level" celebs.

I guess that beltran finally left that gig he had in "Unemployment Line" and have finally stopped protesting the war by remaining Jobless.

This circus just left town.

Why behave in public if you're
livin' on a playground?
