In the new issue of Star Trek Monthly, out now in the United Kingdom, ENTERPRISE executive producer
Rick Berman talks more about next week's season finale of the series, "The Expanse." He says the events will setup the new direction for season three, inside the Delpic Expanse.
"The Vulcans refuse to go in, The Klingons refuse to go in," Berman teases. "The few times anyone has gone in before, the result has been disastrous. Enterprise has no choice but to go in and try to prevent what could possibly be the cataclysmic end of humanity."
Berman says Linda Park's communication officer and translator 'Hoshi Sato' will finally shed her timidity next year, making way for a more confident Hoshi.
"I think that the idea that she's an insecure linguist who finds herself on this ship is getting less and less play," he says. "We had enough of that in the first and second season. She's going to become a bit more seasoned and hopefully we'll get a lot more use of her."
