Former Trek producer Michael Piller's hit cable series, THE DEAD ZONE has six new episodes coming down the pipe next month but the show first season will be available in just two weeks. Coming to DVD on June 17th is the complete first season of the drama, with bonus features and all 13 episodes. Here are the full details according to Amazon.com:

SPECIAL FEATURES: Disc #1

Special Feature: Genesis: The creators of the series explain how THE DEAD ZONE came to be. Includes interviews with Lloyd Segan, Michael & Shawn Piller, Rob Lieberman, & series regulars Anthony Michael Hall, Nicole deBoer, Kristen Dalton & David Odgen Stiers.

Disc #2

Special Feature – Writing: A featurette that breaks down the writing process by taking you inside the story-break meetings where the writing staff outlines each episodes script. Includes interviews with Michael & Shawn Piller, Rob Lieberman, & Anthony Michael Hall & David Odgen Stiers.

Disc #3

Special Features - Music & Special Effects: An in-depth tour of THE DEAD ZONE’s amazing visual effects with an interview from visual effects innovator Sam Nicholson. A featurette takes you inside the creative process of award-winning composer Roy Hay (founding member of Culture Club).

Disc #4

Special Features - Guest Stars: A behind-the-scenes collection featuring never-before-seen interviews with THE DEAD ZONE's guest stars (including Sean Patrick Flannery & Malcolm In The Middle’s Chris Masterson).

I'm a bit confused about the pilot. I already own the DVD for the pilot, so is that what it's talking about with the mail-in? Is there any kind of rebate for those of us that already own it? Or is it even a different pilot?
