  • Armin Shimerman ('Quark') and Larry Nemecek (editor, STAR TREK COMMUNICATOR) will discuss sci-fi writing and sign books at the Barnes & Noble, West Pavilion on Pico Blvd. in West Hollywood Saturday June 14th @ 3p.

  • Filmmaker Spike Lee has filed a lawsuit against Viacom over the renaming of its TNN network to "Spike TV," claiming the name is attempting to cash in on his public image. TNN airs ST:TNG reruns and is slated to begin ST:DS9 and ST:VOY in coming years.

  • Malcolm McDowell ('Dr. Soran', GENERATIONS) was among the actors who appeared on AFI's 100 YEARS, 100 HEROES & VILLAINS special on CBS. His character 'Alex DeLarge' from A CLOCKWORK ORANGE was chosen by AFI as the 12th most memorable film villain.

  • Dan Madsen reports that many of the questions submitted to Rick Berman will appear, along with his responses, in the next issue of the STAR TREK Communicator.

  • PsiPhi has reported that the upcoming ENTERPRISE novel DAEDALUS has been rescheduled from October to December.

  • Tim Russ' ('Tuvok') official web site has several new items up for auction, including a signed copy of the script for VOYAGER's "Alice".

  • A transcript of Kate Mulgrew's recent Q&A at the 92nd Street Y in New York is now up at TotallyKate.

  • TVGuide.com has picked Penny Johnson Jerald ('Kasidy Yates', DS9) as one of its Emmy picks for her role on 24.

  • Basil Langton ('The Caretaker', VOY) has passed away at the age of 91. Langton's appearance on VOYAGER was his last television role.

  • Kate Mulgrew ('Janeway') will be interviewed on WWOR-TV in New York by Pat Collins, according TotallyKate. The interview is set to air June 11th on UPN 9 news at 10:00 p.m.

  • J.G. Hertzler ('Martok') will take fan questions until June 25th at askmartok@yahoo.com for a Q&A to appear at DEEP SPACE NINE Avatar next month. (Thanks to Jackie!)
