Modern STAR TREK's first spin-off will beam down its first set of official trading cards on July 2nd, according to
StarTrek.com. From
Rittenhouse Archives comes the complete STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE trading card set, including cards from all 176 episodes of the series. Each set will come with two autograph cards, including the likes of
Avery Brooks ('Sisko'),
Colm Meany ('O'Brien') in his first autographed cards ever,
Terry Farrell ('Jadzia Dax'),
Jeffrey Combs ('Weyoun', 'Brunt') and more.
Celebrating the release, a collectible binder will be made available, including plastic 9-pocket pages to contain the cards. In addition, five card subsets including actual pieces of costume material for DS9 costumes will be inserted on average 1 in every 100 sets. The material could come from wardrobes worn by 'Worf' (Michael Dorn), the 'Intendant' (Nana Visitor), 'Quark' (Armin Shimerman), 'Garak' (Andrew J. Robinson) and 'Odo' (Rene Auberjonois). Binders will also come with a promo card featuring the U.S.S. Defiant.
Additional subsets will become available, including cards featuring the DS9 mirror universe, the ships of the Dominion War, and the show's various recurring villains.
