A petition for a DS9 movie??? With a mere 17,000 signatures? Here's a news flash: It ain't ever gonna happen. Who are these people signing this petition? The same ones who backed a "Captain Sulu" TV show? DS9 was never a colossal hit like TNG was, and the last 2 TREK films have barely made their money back. It's over, kids! Look, even though "Enterprise" is watched by (a few) million fans, millions more have left TREK high and dry. You'd have to probably get AT LEAST five million signatures before anyone would even seriously consider a DS9 film. Talk about a lost cause. If it's a TV movie you're talking about, well, that's one thing. But forget about seeing it on the big screen.

DS9 Petition

I love DS9. It definitely changed my standard for what Trek can be. As much as I'd like to see a movie (prefer TV movie/miniseriers rather than feature film), I would never want it to happen without Ira Behr and at least one of the key writers. So, I'm not anxious to see anything happen with the petition until Braga is gone. I wake up in a cold sweat thinking of him with his tentacles around DS9 material.
