Paramount VP Confirms Arrival of Fourth TREK Series on DVD in 2004

Following rumors from the Video Software Dealers Association (VSDA) reported over the weekend (story), a Paramount representative has confirmed what many have expected.

"I'll only confirm that VOYAGER is coming next year," wrote Martin Blythe, the vice president of publicity for Paramount Home Entertainment at the Home Theater Forum.

Blythe would not comment on further rumors that the original STAR TREK series would materialize in new DVD box sets following VOYAGER. STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE began its current release schedule in February of this year and the VOYAGER sets will likely follow a similar pattern throughout 2004.

Does Paramount actually expect people to pay money for Voyager? Have they even seen the show?

Well, just as long as they keep those DS9 DVDs coming!

IF paramount would spend a little more money, and update the Special effects for TOS, and put them in box sets, I'll pay double the price for them. Can you imagine? It could be the best update since The original Star Wars trilogy was re-released. They would have plenty of time, with there only being 3 seasons, and they could release them over the course of the year. It could be S1, February 2005, S2 July 2005, and
S3, December 2005.
