Today's Tribblets:
  • STAR TREK-inspired Sacramento rock band Warp 11 has released a single "Everything I Do, I Do With William Shatner" and is receiving publicity on local radio and television and the TREKKIES documentary sequel.

  • Local officials will soon decide whether to undertake a new development plan to make Patrick Stewart ('Picard')'s childhood Youth Club in Mirfield, England a community center.

  • A new study commissioned by the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta uses 'Kirk' and 'Spock' to symbolize two sides of an economic debate over logic vs. emotion. The report argues against the "efficient market hypothesis" (would you believe, EMH) and advocates a new model called "behavioral investing." Add it to the list of arguments Spock's lost.

  • Actor Michael Dante ('Maab', "Friday's Child") was recognized Saturday night for his contribution to the western movie genre.

  • HBO will go behind the scenes of Ronald D. Moore (writer/producer TNG, DS9, VOY) and John Fleck ('Silik')'s CARNIVALE August 21st. The show premieres September 14th.

  • Garrett Wang ('Kim') will appear at the September 14th, 2003 Friends of Science Fiction convention in Sydney, Australia.
