The old brown patio carpet she used to wear!
The rarely-glimpsed white catsuit!
Her brown away-mission uniform seen in "Broken Bow"
Traditional Vulcan robes
None--I prefer Jolene naked!
She should wear a Vulcan uniform similar to those worn by Vulcan captains on the show
Catsuits degrade STAR TREK
I don't mind catsuits, but none of her costumes have been any good

PsiPhi has revealed the first information about ENTERPRISE's fifth episode this upcoming season: "Impulse."

According to a brief plot synopsis available on the site, the Enterprise responds to a distress call from a Vulcan ship inside the Expanse. When they arrive and board the vessel, however, they make a startling discovery: "insane zombie-like Vulcans" attack the boarding party.

"Impulse" is the first ENTERPRISE script by Jonathan Fernandez, from a story by Fernandez and Terry Matalas, an ENTERPRISE production associate of several years. Jonathan Fernandez may refer to Juan Carlos Fernandez, the show's script coordinator. The episode was directed by veteran David Livingston.

According to PsiPhi's information, "Impulse" wrapped production on Tuesday and will air on UPN October 8th.

...or get out of the water. I for one will wait until the episode is either fully fleshed-out or aired. To attack with only scant details is only demonstrating a person’s inability to be truly objective.

Oh, and by the way, since some have demonstrated that you are not thinking objectively, allow me to add this caveat, I am not:

Limiting your free speech
Attacking your dignity
Putting down your intellect
Punishing your initiative
Insulting your mother

Ok, well, I haven’t seen your mother…

It's the Story, Stupid!

Hmm...insane, zombie-like Vulcans...

Well, I can't say this bothers me TOO much, because if the writers and director make it suspenseful, I can see it as being potentially entertaining. A darkened hallway, a crewmember in an environmental suit slowly making his/her way down. A sudden movement from behind makes them turn fast. What was that?!? A few cautious steps forward...complete silence...not even any background music...then a slow turn, ending up face-to-face with a wild-eyed, scarred, bloody Vulcan who cries out wildly and attacks!!! Now *that* would kick all kinds of ass.

But, odds are, we won't get that. We'll get some silly attempt at suspense, which they'll overdo with annoying background music and lame camera shots and such. I can see it in my mind already, which is why I don't have much hope for "Impulse".

By the way, what is with these titles?!? Geez, I think they could get better titles from strangers on the street! Where's the creativity? One of them is named "Xindi-Sloth"!!! Come on, people! Take a tip from DS9's book, and find some titles that actually have meaning. That's one of the things that I miss about DS9...their titles were creative, and had some meaning connected to the stories. Oh, wait, we're talking about DS9, now...you know, the creative and risky TREK! Oops, sorry, guys...

Despite my continual ranting about Rick "Creativity, let me introduce you to this window!" Berman and Brannon "Shut up, you stupid fans, you!" Braga, I am trying to keep my hopes up for season 3, because traditionally, Season 3 of any TREK (post-TOS) have always been the turning point for the series. Sorry for those who may disagree, but seasons 1 and 2 of TNG, DS9, and VOY were, more or less, years of fumbling and stumbling towards a point where true storytelling and fascinating characterization could finally be realized (well, maybe not as much with Voyager, but that's another rant altogether).

It has to get better. It just has to. TREK is going to die out completely if Enterprise fails this year. Patrick Stewart and many of the TNG gang were so disappointed by the fan reaction to Nemesis that they want to leave TREK far behind them. The books may stick around, but they're not considered TREK canon anyway. The concensus will be to let TREK rest for a while until fans demand it again. Well, in any case, the boys in charge have to start paying attention to the people that are helping them get their fat paychecks month to month. We're at the controls, Berman and Braga, and if you don't start listening to us, we're going to beam you into the void, and leave you there until you give a damn enough to take us seriously.

Man, the only way this could get any better is if they found "HORNY insane zombie Vulcans'!

When I see the words, "insane, Zombie-like" with the word "Vulcan" I truly believe B&B are digging a giant hole in the back of the studio to bury the franchise in.

Why don't they encounter a secret Romulan outpost...oh wait, thats right I forgot, Romulans are boring.

These spoilers are usually a little too vague. They're okay for a general idea if I want to consider watching ENT that week or not. This is one of the briefest spoilers I can ever remember reading. There's absolutely no way to forecast whether this will be a good one or a bad one.

The zombie aspect immediately made me think of the game DOOM. As dissatisfied as I have been with this program so far, even with the slutty Vulcan angle that B&B keep threatening to exploit, I still think that once season three is complete, it will outclass the first two boring and aimless years of ENTERPRISE... finally... (I hope).

This sounds pretty boring. All the spoilers for season 3 don't sound very exciting.

"insane zombie-like Vulcans" What is the point of this? I remember Braga telling the story where he approached Gene with an idea for a script. It went something like this.

Braga: I have this great idea for the show. It deals with this ship and...

Gene: Ok what is the point?

Braga: The ships does this flying around and..

Gene: OK WHAT is the point?

Whenever I read any of these spoilers I am reminded of Genes simple question "What is the point?" Is it going to be just an episode of flying around with special effects or an episode of substances. Is it going to be an episode of more anorexic Barbie dolls? In order for the episodes to be good they have to have "substance". I don't see anything of substance from the first 5 episodes posted from Season 3.

So far most of the episodes sounds very promising for season 3!

I wonder if it can really mean that they are improving the show...

,but I personally think the idea sounds cool, not to say AWESOME !!! If Mr. Livingston films this kind of script with a little caution (means not making it look like a gory, cheap splatter flick) it could become a very cool and scary episode
:-) I like this approach !!!

You guys wanted change, here it is !!! So don´t dare to go rip this thing apart before you´ve seen it !!!

Greetings
Christian
