The old brown patio carpet she used to wear!
The rarely-glimpsed white catsuit!
Her brown away-mission uniform seen in "Broken Bow"
Traditional Vulcan robes
None--I prefer Jolene naked!
She should wear a Vulcan uniform similar to those worn by Vulcan captains on the show

I don't mind catsuits, but none of her costumes have been any good

Connor Trinneer Promises Added Depth for 'Trip' as Season 3 Unfolds

ENTERPRISE actor Connor Trinneer speaks with Zap2it about his character's changes for the new season of the show, debuting Wednesday on UPN. He says although anger at the death of his sister will be a part of what 'Trip's wearing on his sleeve this year, audiences should look forward to some well-rounded development.

"It's another layer to play, but I don't know if it's necessarily a change," Trinneer says. "It's just seeing how he deals with it. He's definitely angry about it. He's everything about it. He's sad, angry -- he's going to mourn her death. But making him one-dimensionally angry would be a mistake, and they're not doing that."

He also added some information about the evolution of his character's relationship with Jolene Blalock's 'T'Pol'.

"T'Pol's character has a lot of ability controlling emotion, and they begin to form a connection with one another dealing with that, that may or may not evolve into something a little more interesting."

One direction Trinneer says he's glad to veer away from as Trip develops is his portrayal as sort of a "Southern bumpkin."

"Honestly, after a certain point, I thought it was hokey," he says. "Come on, you're going to make me play the harmonica? I just got a little tired of dealing with the country-bumpkin aspect of this really smart engineer who's out in space. I thought, 'Come on, let's knock this off, or at least have a little more imagination for it.'... If I'm going to have pan-fried catfish for my favorite meal -- why don't you go the other direction and make him really good at Steak Diane or something? That's interesting."

Depth of character

Depth of character for Trip probably means in some ways, depth of character for everybody.

"It's another layer to play, but I don't know if it's necessarily a change,"

Subtlety is the key to making it work, Trinneer understands this.

"T'Pol's character has a lot of ability controlling emotion, and they begin to form a connection with one another dealing with that, that may or may not evolve into something a little more interesting."

I can understand T'Pol losing control of her emotions due to the effects of the Delphic Expanse, but why do she and Trip have to have a "connection"? According to what I've seen of Vulcans before, they don't easily think of themselves as sexual beings like humans do. They have a cyclical sex drive, and then there's the whole Ponn Farr controversy and whether Vulcan females go through it as well.

"Honestly, after a certain point, I thought it was hokey," he says. "Come on, you're going to make me play the harmonica?\

I wonder if they wanted to put a jug of hard cider and wrestling posters in his quarters too.

Trinneer plays his role on the show with a lot of charisma, he has the kind of charisma that Shatner had, but his character lacks the judgement of Kirk. Bakula's character is inexperienced by design, but with the character and fast learning curve to be able to adapt to new command decisions. The pair started out as freinds, but I think that instead of being buddies, they should have a falling out (due to events as we saw in "Cogenitor") and a subsequent reconciliation of their freindship a year or two down the line. There have been rumblings of discontent from the beginning with Trip wanting to go on away missions and Archer saying something like "We need you here" or "Next time". Whatever happens, it looks like Trip is headed for a lot of conflict and interesting sub-plots in the future.
