ST:TNG and ST:DS9 actor Colm Meaney ('Miles O'Brien') is keeping busy these days, with two new films screening at international film festivals and a role in a movie for TNT that could become a series.
According to
Yahoo! News, Meaney has been cast as 'Cuthbert Gibbons' in the cable adaptation of author Anthony Bruno's novel, BAD APPLE. Starring alongside LAW & ORDER actor Chris Noth, who is also executive producing the project, Meaney will become embroiled in the New York crime scene with his FBI partner (Noth).
The project is scheduled to begin production in Montreal and New York this month. Meanwhile, the TREK actor's film THE BOYS FROM COUNTY CLARE will make its premiere at the
Toronto International Film Festival next week, and another film, INTERMISSION, debuted in Ireland August 29th.
INTERMISSION stars Colin Farrell as a thief who becomes wrapped up in a love story. Meaney plays the police chief in the film, which is scheduled to open in the United Kingdom November 21st after a screening at the Toronto fest as well.
