Publishers Weekly reports that Simon & Schuster, the company behind Pocket Books's STAR TREK books, has put its Interactive unit up for sale.

Ananova reports that a U.K. labor council has been accused of mismanagement after spending 5,000 British pounds on a STAR TREK-themed conference for managers.

The Salt Lake Tribune has an article on the state of the STAR TREK franchise.

A listing of the upcoming STARFLEET CORPS OF ENGINEERS eBooks, edited by Keith R.A. DeCandido, is now posted.

DEAD LIKE ME, the Showtime series created by former VOYAGER writer Bryan Fuller, has been renewed for a second season.

Bjo Trimble, patron saint of STAR TREK

Interesting read, this was. It's nice to read rational arguments instead of the emotional ones that bashers seem to have much of the time. It's true, ENTERPRISE really isn't a STAR TREK series. It's like an imitation made in China under copyright violation standards, where they change a few things so that a lawsuit would never stick. If ENTERPRISE weren't associated with STAR TREK, it might actually do well, but as Bjo said, this is not truly a prequel, ENT is something else entirely, and the fans are disappointed.
